- Shiur 1: Opening Baitza: Yom Tov for Hashem and for yourself
The first shiur on Masechta Baitza: why the masechta is named for an egg, an egg laid on Yom Tov, and Rosh Hashanah as one long day. Then Rabbi Eliezer's lesson that Yom Tov is half for Hashem and half for yourself, and the teaching that a person's livelihood is set on Rosh Hashanah except for what he spends on Shabbos, Yom Tov and his children's Torah.
- Shiur 2: A gift you have to tell about: Shabbos
A shorter shiur given on Yud-Tes Kislev before a farbrengen. The Gemara teaches that one who gives a gift must let the recipient know, and Hashem's good gift of Shabbos. Moshe's shining face, the extra neshamah that comes with Shabbos, and the eruv tavshilin made for a whole town.
- Shiur 3: Bava ben Buta and the flock in the Azarah
Whether a korban olah may be brought on Yom Tov, and how Bava ben Buta brought his flock to the Azarah so the halachah would follow Beis Hillel. Also why one may not invite a non-Jew to a Yom Tov meal, a lesson from Esther's banquets, and Rabbi Elazar ben Azaryah's cow that went out with a strap between its horns.
- Shiur 4: Why the Torah was given to Klal Yisrael
Lessons in derech eretz from how meat is prepared and a cup of wine is drunk, and the bitter beans that turn sweet after seven boilings. Why the Torah was given to Klal Yisrael: they are the boldest of nations, and the Torah channels that strength. Also walking with a stick and being carried on Yom Tov.
- Shiur 5: The Siyum: wild and domestic, and finishing Baitza
The final shiur and siyum on Masechta Baitza. Buying and measuring on Yom Tov without doing business, why it can be better to let people err unknowingly, Shabsai bar Marinus and the rich of Bavel, and the three whose lives are not lives. The masechta ends with the wild and domestic animals, read as two kinds of learners: those who leave home to learn and those who work by day and learn every night.
