The sheva brachos, and comforting mourners
Daf 7b–8bכתובות ז׳ ע״ב – ח׳ ע״ב
Play shiur55 mins · 18 chapters
The brachos said under the chuppah, one at a time: why Hashem made ten chuppos for Adam and Chava, what "sameach tesamach" asks for, and why the last bracha can stand on its own. Then the Gemara turns to the brachos and words of comfort in a house of mourning, the ten cups of wine Chazal once drank there, and how Rabban Gamliel ended costly burials by asking to be buried in simple linen.
